Optical Bonding

Use Cases
  • Cockpit and flight deck displays
  • Sunlight-readable outdoor displays
  • Ruggedized military displays
  • Industrial HMI panels
  • Touch-integrated assemblies

Eliminates air gap for improved contrast ratio and reduced reflection in direct sunlight.

Overview

In-house optical bonding eliminates the air gap between display, touch sensor, and cover glass — improving contrast ratio, eliminating internal reflection, and increasing impact resistance for sunlight-readable cockpit, military, and outdoor industrial displays. Wet bonding with LOCA (Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive) and dry bonding with OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive) PSA films. Anti-reflective (AR), anti-glare (AG), and ITO heater coatings; NVIS Class A and Class B filtering per MIL-STD-3009; EMI/RFI mesh shielding for high-EMC environments. Heritage from Polytronix's original telecom-display business — passives, drivers, backlight integration, and cover-glass laminations engineered together for optical performance and durability.
